THE BASE – CENTRALLY LOCATED
Our Ambulance bases are situated in Rustenburg(HQ), Kimberley and Bloemfontein. The locations of our bases ware carefully chosen in order to ensure that we are centrally located to optimize our response times to all scenes in and around the greater areas. Our bases consists of an administrative building, a control centre, a first aid lecture room, a crew room and a paramedic room. There are also bathroom facilities situated on the base premises for both administrative personnel and crew members.
All of our administrative work and billing is done in-house on the premises in order to optimize turn-over time. Our crew room is fitted with sleeping facilities for crew members who work night shifts. There is also a fridge and kitchen facilities for crew members to prepare meals for themselves. Our paramedics room is similarly fitted with full sleeping facilities and kitchen facilities as our paramedics work 24hour shifts.
THE CONTROL CENTRE
Our control centre team is well equipped to deal with numerous calls simultaneoulsy, in order to ensure a prompt response time for all emergencies. Our operators are fully trained in the medical field and all have basic life support qualifications in order to provide the necessary guidance to the caller until such time as the PARAMEDIC or Ambulance crew have arrived on scene.
In order to ensure that our ambulances, crew and paramedics arrive on scene in the shortest possible time, the all have a good geographical knowledge of Rustenburg and surrounding areas and to assist them the control center is also equipped with a TOM TOM live satellite feed.
We have and advanced IT network system to ensure that any and all data is adequately captured in order to optimize the services rendered to our patients and in order to save time.
Each of our ambulances and response vehicles have a two way radio in order to maintain communication between them and the control room. We are therefore fully aware of our ambulance and response vehicles whereabouts at all times.
